Kieraen and Caelya Lassiter are brother and sister Logia, presumed to be the Sanctified of the Reconciliation Prophecy—the ones destined to raise the Ruler Prince from the dead. The two choose very different paths once they discover their actual roles in the plot. Kieraen finds himself in service to the Prince, growing bitter and angry, while Caelya becomes wrapped up in an unexpected romance with one of the Prince’s trusted advisors, Redic Clairet.

Ternion, the Ruler Prince, senses the end of His rule. As protests and uprisings stir the far reaches of the system, He begins to position His people to survive His defeat. Heartbreak ensues as one of His very own delivers Him into the hands of the enemy.

The Strages rise to power under the guise of the Progressive Legacy, led by the cruel Tribunal. Although the outlook is bleak, Ternion’s followers find hope in the wake of His execution in the form of twins born to Caelya and Redic. It is through them that the Reconciliation Prophecy will be fulfilled.
