This was a piece I simply could not fit into the book. I thought I'd share it here instead.
Venefica's Curse
Born the first, of stone of red,
Alone shall Vilkas’s life be led.
Born the second, of stone of white,
Suspicion Magnus shall consider right.
Born the third, of stone of blue,
Chalmus’s dark side shall be his true.
Born the fourth, of stone of brown,
Vanity shall be Zariel’s crown.
Born the fifth, of stone of green,
For Zavus, sleep shall not be seen.
Born the sixth, of stone of maroon,
Childishness shall be Emir’s tune.
Of six young men born, let them now be bound,
As I, the Queen of Paladia, am crowned.
Service to me shall be their lot,
Blindly devoted, with nary a thought.
Until with magic, this bond is severed,
I shall rule the Regalis brothers forever!
