Blessed Am I

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, and all my friends on Facebook are sharing the things for which they are thankful. I am grateful for so many things, it's hard to keep track. When something wonderful happens - even something small - I lift a prayer to God, thanking Him for His blessings.

This year, my book was published. That is such an awesome thing!

I have really amazing kids.

I am married to a caring, loving man who takes good care of me.

My sweet mama is in my life daily, even though I don't get to see her all the time.

My brothers are super cool.

I've been able to keep in touch with old friends and make  some news ones, thanks to the Internet.

The list goes on and on. It's really been a great year. And to top it all off, I was able to re-connect with my fifth grade teacher yesterday. As a child, I adored and admired him. We lived in a small town, and I got to know him long before I was his student. After my fifth grade year, we moved away, so I lost contact with him, except for the occasional letter.

But yesterday was spent emailing back and forth with him. What a fantastic man! I am so excited to get to know him again. And what a blessing that my kids will be able to meet him! I love how God places special people in our lives. And thanks to the information highway, we're able to hang onto them a bit longer.
