It's been a little while since I've blogged on a regular basis, so I thought I'd tell you what I'm up to right now.
I've taken a little break from writing. 'Tis the season, and all...at least getting ready for the season, so I've been working on creating a few crocheted crafts for some local craft fairs. I'm hoping to sell enough of my creations to help fund marketing ventures for Asylum and/or contribute toward the publication of a second book. On that note, I've not heard anything from any agents or publishers. I have to remind myself that Asylum has only been out for going on three months, but I fear that I'm losing momentum. I personally have sold close to sixty copies. I have yet to see an official sales statement, but I'm hoping and praying that the sales will be good. Again, it's not about the money. It's about getting my book out there! It's about making those characters live and breathe in the hearts of my readers. With that in mind, I am considering using Kickstarter to fund publication of Outlaw, which I'd like to be the second book published in the Circeae Tales series. That thought came to mind last week, and shortly afterward, I read a passage in Sarah Young's Jesus Calling about grasping and controlling instead of trusting God. So while the thought is there, I'm still praying over it to see where God will lead me. He knows the desires of my heart - to be published by a traditional house. To have an agent to work with through all this. So I'm trying to be patient. I am encouraged by my readers. I've heard nothing but good things. Even the "criticism" is positive, which thrills me. I'm most grateful to those who have posted reviews or comments. And I'm honored that people have actually taken the time to read my book. That's the greatest gift to a writer. Blessings to you all.
