Today is a snow day at work, so I decided to brave the roads anyway and get to the nearest Panera Bread. Yes, that is an endorsement. I love Panera! And I'm quite proud to say so.
I found a cozy table near the fireplace. I have a toasted bagel and a cup of coffee. I am totally ready to write! "What are you going to write," you ask. Well, let me tell you. I've been thinking about my Circeae Tales. Where to go with it, what to do... I've made some decisions. I've said all along that the books are stand-alone novels. That may be the case for most of them, but clearly Fusion is the sequel to Poison, and Valor is the sequel to Crepusculum. They go hand in hand. So I'm focusing on those four right now, three of which are complete. I need to write Crepusculum. I've avoided that story because it's a tale of betrayal and death. It's my allegory of Jesus Christ's story. I have long thought it would be the hardest to write. I want to do the story justice and cover all the details. But it's been on my mind the last few days, so I thought I'd look back at my notes and see where I can pick up with it. And while I have some real work to do for my job, having a snow day allows me the opportunity to write a bit. So thanks, Panera, for giving me nice place to be - for refilling my coffee cup - and for the warm fire. May the words flow!
